Nammude Chinnam
“Nammude Chinnam“ (the first two words in the poster, meaning- Our only Symbol) is the word which is seen in the largest number on the walls of even the remotest villages in Kerala. The political insomniacs of both left and right kidnap walls to say this and to ask “Vijayippikkoo”(the third word under Gandhi’s image, meaning- “make it win”). The round badges of political parties are unique to election season. There is the tricolour hand, the green ladder, the saffron lotus and the red sickle and hammer. The last time when I went home, my friend said he have become a man of Gandhi and showed the smiling Gandhi in a thousand rupee currency note.
